HOAs & Condo Associations—July 31 Forum on New State Regulation
A July 31 forum will help Homeowner and Condominium Associations learn about how to develop association complaint procedures. Association leaders will have an opportunity to learn and ask questions about a new state regulation requiring adoption by September 28 of procedures to handle resident complaints against associations, and about the role of the Common Interest Community Ombudsman.
What: Open Forum on the Virginia Common Interest Community Ombudsman Regulation
When: Tuesday, July 31, 2012, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Fairfax County Government Center, Conference Rooms 9 and 10
12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA 22035
The forum is being hosted by the Consumer Affairs Branch of the Fairfax County Department of Cable and Consumer Services and the Fairfax County Federation of Citizens Associations (www.fairfaxfederation.org), a volunteer organization dedicated to serving community associations through education and advocacy.
The two guest speakers are Heather Gillespie, Common Interest Community Ombudsman, and Kenneth E. Chadwick, Attorney. Attendance is free, but registration is required -- send the name and email address of each attendee, and the association name, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
