Women-owned businesses are a powerful force in local communities and throughout our nation; women- owned businesses create 23 million jobs in America and have an annual economic impact of $3 trillion.
Hundreds of competition nominations were received this year from around the globe and the winners were selected by Enterprising Women’s Advisory Board as being North America’s most successful entrepreneurial women. Award recipients must demonstrate that they have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship, and stand out as leaders in their communities. Many of these women are also leaders in key organizations that support the growth of women’s entrepreneurship. The winners were celebrated during a gala dinner at the 9th Annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration at Boca Raton Resort in Boca Raton, FL on March 10-11, 2011.
