Occasionally Cake is now taking orders for Valentine’s Day treats through Feb. 11 for pick-up on Tues., Feb. 14, ranging in price from $15 to $35. In honor of American Heart Month in February, the cake shop is supporting the American Heart Association. When customers where red on Fri., Feb. 3 or Fri., Feb. 10, they receive a free cupcake and 10 percent of their purchase goes to the American Heart Association. “Valentine’s Day is one of our favorite holidays, when we create that special, sweet treat for a loved one,” said Sabrina Campbell, owner of Occasionally Cake. “This year, we’re honoring so many of our loved ones who are affected by heart disease by supporting the American Heart Association…so don’t forget to wear red on the first two Fridays of February."

The Alexandria cake boutique offers the: Valentine’s Day Love Cake at $30, serves eight people; the Heart-Shaped Cookie Box is $35 with a dozen soft sugar cookies, iced in rolled butter-cream; the Jumbo Cupcake Box for $25 has four jumbo cupcakes topped with a heart, nestled in a box and tied with a Valentine ribbon; and the Cake Truffle Box is $15 with nine assorted cake truffles wrapped in a red box and tied with a bow.

The Alexandria cake boutique offers more than 100 cake flavors, but their signature cake flavors include: Summer Delight, Chocolate Madness, Perfectly Pumpkin, and Pink Champagne. Some of their cupcake flavors include: Carrot Cake, Chocolate-dipped Strawberry, Cookies N’ Cream, Fuzzy Navel, Key Lime Cheesecake, Neapolitan, Red Velvet, Tiramisu, The Elvis and Yin and Yang. Pricing for cakes vary, but generally, cakes are priced per serving and can range from $6.50 to $8 per serving. Party cakes start at $4 a serving.  Depending on the design difficulty of the cake, prices are subject to change. Cupcakes are priced individually, starting at $2.75 each for basic flavors and icing swirl on top.

Occasionally Cake is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
