UNO OFFERS 15 PERCENT DISCOUNT MAY 28 THROUGH JUNE 1
Capping off the final week of its Local Hero Appreciation Month, UNO (www.unos.com) will honor our nation’s armed forces with a 15 percent discount from May 28 through June 1, 2012. UNO wants to show its appreciation to the men and women who defend our freedom. All military personnel and veterans will receive the discount (not including alcohol or specials) during their specified week (Monday - Friday only) when they show identification such as a military or veteran’s ID.
“This is something close to my heart. Our military have put their lives on the line for us. We owe them a debt of gratitude,” said Frank Guidara, CEO of UNO and a Vietnam Veteran. Anything we can do to show our appreciation is still small in comparison to what they’ve done for us. Whether it’s sending pizzas to soldiers in Afghanistan, throwing pizza parties for patients in Veterans’ Hospitals or supporting their families with a small token of thanks, we will continue to do everything we can to try and make their lives a little happier.”
UNO will continue to salute the military throughout the summer with an ongoing military appreciation discount of 10 percent (except for alcohol and specials) from June
2 through September 3, 2012.
UNO has been celebrating other local heroes throughout the month of May. In addition to the armed forces, these groups include teachers, medical professionals, EMS, firefighters and law enforcement. Appreciation Month is being celebrated as follows:
- Teachers - 4/30/12 through 5/4/12
- Medical Professionals - 5/7/12 through 5/11/12
- Police and Dispatchers - 5/14/12 through 5/18/12
- EMS and Firefighters - 5/21/12 through 5/25/12
- Military - 5/28/12 through 6/1/12
“We have a few principles by which we run our business,” noted Guidara. “We are passionate about making out-of-this-world food and delicious drinks, all served with remarkable and heartfelt hospitality. We may not be out on the front line protecting our freedom, but we can do all in our power to make life a little better for everyone we serve.”
