Bike to Work Day is This Friday

This Friday is Bike to Work Day, and the county will be holding special pit stops around the region for free snacks and drinks, bicycle tune ups, and a chance to meet other riders.

The Washington Area Bicyclists Association and Fairfax County host the events. There are 49 pits tops around the region and nine in Fairfax County:

• Burke VRE Park and Ride Lot
• Springfield (Metro Park at Walker Lane)
• Reston Town Center (at the intersection of Discovery Street and Market Street)
• Vienna (at the Vienna Town Green on the W&OD)
• Fairfax City at Van Dyck Park
• Fairfax Corner (in the plaza opposite Coastal Flats)
• Tysons Corner (at Booz Allen Hamilton, 8283 Greensboro Drive)
• Merrifield (at the intersection of Sandburg Street and the W&OD)
• Herndon (at the Town Hall Green just off the W&OD)
