Coach’s Corner: Mount Vernon vs. Falls Church

The Majors face the Jaguars at home tonight.

The Mount Vernon High School Majors will take on the Falls Church High School Jaguars in what is expected to be a tough game tonight at Mount Vernon High School.

“We’ve been successful against Falls Church the last two years,” said Mount Vernon Head Coach Barry Wells. “They had a young team and those guys have been playing now for two, three years. They appear to be playing very well. I expect another dogfight Friday night.”

Wells added that the Majors have had a chance to rebound from last week’s loss against Centreville.

The Majors will face off against the Jaguars tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Jeff Todd Field at Melvin B. Landes Stadium at Mount Vernon High School.
