Easter Services Planned for Weekend

Here’s a roundup of church services for Mount Vernon Patch readers.

 

Good Shepherd Catholic Church will host five services on Easter Sunday. Please Note: Overflow parking and a shuttle from Mount Vernon High School will be available for the 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 2 p.m. Masses.

7:30 a.m. - Church

9 a.m. – Church and Creedon Hall

10:30 a.m. – Church and Creedon Hall

noon – Church

2:00 p.m. – Spanish Mass in the Church and Creedon Hall

Washington Farm United Methodist Church will host two services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., with an Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m.

Aldersgate United Methodist Church will hold an Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. Sunday.

St. James’ Episcopal Church will hold an Easter Sunday service and egg hunt at 10:15 a.m. Sunday.

Mount Vernon Unitarian Church will hold an Easter Multigenerational Service, “Easter Bonnets, Bunnies and Lilies,” at 9:15 a.m. Sunday.

Bethlehem Baptist Church will hold a Sunrise Service at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, followed by a Sunrise Breakfast. The worship service will take place at 10:30 a.m.

St. Louis Catholic Church will hold a Holy Saturday Easter Vigil Mass at 8:30 p.m. Saturday and Intentions of the Poor Clares at 11 p.m. Sunday mass is at 7:15 a.m., 8:45 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

St. Aidan's Episcopal Church will hold the Great Vigil of Easter at 8 p.m. Saturday. Easter Day services are at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., as well as an Easter egg hunt for children at 9:30 a.m.

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will hold Holy Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday.

Nativity Lutheran Church will hold a Worship for the Young and Young at Heart at 9 a.m. Sunday, followed by a breakfast at 9:35 a.m., followed by a traditional worship service at 10:30 a.m.

Heritage Presbyterian Church will hold an Easter morning crafts and egg hunt at 9:30 a.m.
