Fairfax County Asks for Feedback From Derecho Response
Residents and business owners are encouraged to take part in an emergency information survey.
The Fairfax County Office of Emergency Management is asking for feedback from county residents and businesses to help assess the county's response to the June 29 derecho storm, which downed tree and power lines and left many Alexandria-area homes without power for days.
The storm also knocked out some of the county's emergency resonse system, including 911 services.
County officials are asking residents to complete the short survey, found here. The survey should take only several minutes to complete and is open through Sept. 7.
The survey is part of the official review of the storm response and will be used for department's after-action report on the derecho event and how Fairfax County Government responded.
