Christine Vance of Fort Belvoir has been nominated for Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year. 

Vance is one of 18 nominees for the Military Spouse of the Year contest sponsored by Military Spouse magazine. Each year, the contest honors the most deserving military spouses nationwide. Vance is the founder of Heidi's Pantry, a food and clothing sharing program helping families in need at Fort Belvoir.

According to its website, "Military Spouse of the Year nominees have introduced initiatives and solutions to address a multitude of topics affecting the military community. These men and women have emerged as leaders within the military spouse community advocating for a variety of issues ranging from spouse employment and education to family health and those impacted by illness and disabilities."
