Students may now apply for the 2013 MVCCA Student of the Year Civic Award.
The award is based on community involvement. Students at Mount Vernon and Lorton high schools may apply. Applications must be submitted to high school counselors by Jan. 18.
Last year's winners were: Eugene Coleman III (Mount Vernon HS), Megan McDaniels (South County Secondary School), Sarah Jane Underwood (West Potomac High School).
