Police: Indecent Exposure Reported on Richmond Highway

The following items are from recent police updates through Jan. 9 from the Mount Vernon Police District of the Fairfax County Police Department.

Indecent Exposure (blue on map), 5:51 p.m., Jan. 5, 6800 block of Richmond Highway, A 29-year-old female reported that a male exposed himself to her as she was leaving the gas station at Route 1 and Memorial Street. The suspect was described as white, approximately 31, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and around 150 pounds. A warrant was obtained and is on file for the suspect.

In separate and unrelated incidents:

Robbery (red on map), 6:50 a.m., Jan. 5, 2600 block of Arlington Drive, A 27-year-old woman reported that she was robbed at gunpoint by a man who appeared to be Hispanic. He was about 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 140 pounds.  He was wearing a black hoodie and black pants. He took the victim’s purse and fled on foot.

Burglary (green on map), 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Jan. 4, 5000 block of Rosemont Avenue, A resident reported that someone forced open a side door, entered her home and stole jewelry.

  • 8700 block of Old Colony Way, cash from residence
  • 2500 block of Parkers Lane, cash from residence
  • 2500 block of Parkers Lane, credit cards from business
  • 4400 block of Pembrook Village Drive, license plate from vehicle
  • 6300 block of Richmond Highway, merchandise from business
  • 6700 block of Richmond Highway, hair products and soap from business
  • 6700 block of Richmond Highway, cell phone from business
  • 8600 block of Richmond Highway, license plates from vehicle

  • 5800 block of Richmond Highway, 2005 Dodge
