Police: Man Robs 13-Year-Old of Cell Phone

The following items are from recent police updates through Dec. 12 from the Mount Vernon Police District of the Fairfax County Police Department.
Robbery in Huntley Meadows Parks (red on map), Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery and assault that occurred Dec 6. Around 11:14 a.m. an 18-year-old woman was jogging in Huntley Meadows Park, near the South Kings Highway/Telegraph Road entrance when she was assaulted by two women.
The suspects knocked the victim to the ground, assaulted her and stole clothing and a cell phone from the victim. The victim was able to escape and flee from her attackers. The victim sustained minor injuries.
The first suspect was described as Hispanic, 15 to 25, 5 feet tall, heavy set and wearing all black. The second suspect was described as Hispanic or black, 15 to 25, 5 feet 6 inches tall, medium build and wearing all black.
In separate and unrelated incidents:
Pursuit (blue on map), 9 p.m., 12/6/12, 8200 block of Richmond Highway, An officer attempted to stop a vehicle for erratic driving. The vehicle allegedly sped away and into a neighborhood. The driver abandoned the vehicle which rolled into a fence on its own. The officer continued to pursue on foot. With the assistance of other officers, Alberto Casiano, 29, of Arlington, was apprehended. Casiano was charged with DWI, speed to elude, driving on a suspended license, and hit and run.
Burglary (yellow on map), 2:20 a.m., 12/7/12, 5900 block of Williamsburg Road, A resident reported someone was allegedly attempting to enter her home by forcing entry through a window. Charles Alvarez, 25, of Alexandria, was charged with burglary, destruction of property, and drunk in public.
Robbery (red on map), 11 p.m., 12/7/12, 7100 block of Mint Place, A pizza delivery man was robbed while making a delivery. Three suspects approached and demanded his cash and food items. They fled and the victim was not injured.
Unlawful Entry (green on map), 7:20 p.m., 12/7/12, 5600 block of Fenwick Drive, A resident reported someone entered the home while she was inside. She yelled at the suspect who fled. Entry was made through the front door.
Burglary (yellow on map), 1:40 p.m., 12/9/12, 6300 block of South Kings Highway, A business owner reported someone entered the business and stole cash. Forced entry was made through the front door.
Graffiti (pink on map), 5:45 p.m., 12/9/12, 7900 block of Audubon Avenue, A resident reported someone wrote graffiti on the front door of the home.
Unlawful Entry (green on map), 1:10 p.m., 12/9/12, 6400 block of 13th Street, A neighbor called when he saw two juveniles exiting a vacant home. The home was searched and no one was found. Entry was made through an unsecured door.
Extortion (purple on map), 5 p.m., 12/8/12, 8500 block of Wyngate Manor Court, A 25-year-old victim reported he lost his phone on a bus and allegedly the person who found it was demanding payment for its return. Officers arranged to make an exchange. Samuel Moultrie, 30, Joseph Kowaleswski, 30, and Lawrence West, 45, all of Fort Belvoir were charged with extortion and grand larceny. West was also charged with possession of narcotics and unauthorized distribution of controlled drug.
Burglary (yellow on map), 3:30 a.m., 12/11/12, 6500 block of Brick Hearth Court, A resident reported two men entered her home and stole a wallet. Entry was made through an unsecured window.
Unlawful Entry (green on map), 6:30 a.m., 12/11/12, 2700 block of Carter Farm Court, A victim reported an unknown man allegedly entered her unsecured home. The man was found a short distance from the home. Brhim Bagoulla, 44, of no fixed address, was charged with drunk in public and unlawful entry.
Robbery (red on map), 3:25 p.m., 12/11/12, 2500 block of Massey Court, A 13-year-old victim was walking home when a man approached from behind. He demanded her cell phone. After she said no, he reached into her pocket and took it, and fled. She was not injured.
Robbery (red on map), 10:25 p.m., 12/11/12, 9000 block of Richmond Highway, A 19-year-old victim was walking along the road when a group of women approached. All the women are known to the victim. They allegedly slapped him, spit on him, and took his wallet. He was not injured. The case is under investigation.
Arson/Assault (turquoise on map), 1:15 p.m., 12/12/12, 8100 block of Richmond Highway, Police officers and firefighters were called for a tow truck on fire and two men fighting. Reu Cruz, 41, of Woodbridge, was charged with malicious wounding and two counts of arson.

- 6200 block of North Kings Highway - merchandise from business
- 6200 block of North Kings Highway - bottle of liquor from business
- 6200 block of Richmond Highway - can of juice from business
- 7500 block of Richmond Highway - cell phone from business
- 8600 block of Richmond Highway - liquor from business
- 8200 block of Richmond Highway - bicycle from business
- Richmond Highway/Lockheed Boulevard - generator from business
- 6700 block of Richmond Highway - cell phone from business
- 8600 block of Richmond Highway - liquor from business
- 6300 block of Richmond Highway - DVDs from business
- 3300 block of Southgate Drive - front tag from vehicle
- 6300 block of South Kings Highway - ballistics vest and GPS from vehicle
- 3800 block of Washington Woods Drive - briefcase from vehicle
- 8500 block of Wyngate Manor Court - cell phone from residence
