Virginia Small Business Organization Endorses Frederick

The National Federation of Independent Businesses have announced its endorsement of Senate candidate Jeff Frederick.

The National Federation for Independent Businesses (NFIB) has announced its endorsement of Senate candidate Jeff Frederick.

The NFIB, along with Virginia's Save America's Free Enterprise (SAFE) Trust, have endorsed Frederick becuase he is supportive of small businesses. The organization has 6,000 members in Virginia. The SAFE Trust consists of NFIB members.

"Jeff Frederick understands the challenges facing Virginia’s small, family businesses and is the clear choice in Senate District 36,” said Nicole Riley, state director of NFIB/Virginia SAFE. "We believe Jeff Frederick will take a fiscally responsible approach to managing state government and support legislation that helps our small businesses grow and create jobs and puts the Commonwealth back on the pathway to success.”

Frederick announced in a statement that the Senate needs to focus on job creation.

"It’s time for the Senate to stop being the roadblock on moving Virginia forward, especially in attracting businesses, creating jobs, and growing the economy," said Frederick, a former chairman of the Virginia Small Business Commission. "Virginia's economy cannot prosper without small businesses prospering. Too many Richmond politicians see small businesses as sources of government revenue, rather than creators of jobs."

unfortunately, people in the mt. vernon district have had little chance to compare the candidates--and there still seems to be confusion about where redistricting lines went. i would like to see a debate between candidates so voters can actually learn something about how state govt works and how each would approach making it better..

Hi there!
We'll have coverage of the Meet the Candidates Brunch going on this Sunday at Beth El Hebrew Congregation. Sunday's event is open to the public, but we will definitely keep you posted when we hear about debates locally.

Ms. Puller thinks three debates (total audience what, maybe 350 people?) is enough.

Jeff was my representative when he was in the House previously. His philosophy is "my way or the highway." He is not the person I want representing me. Even his own party had issues with him when he left public office to take a position with the Virginia Republican Party before he was forced to leave that position. WAY TOO EXTREME for this district.
