January temperatures zoomed Tuesday to near the 70-degree mark in Alexandria.
Many residents spent time Tuesday afternoon at the Belle Haven Marina to enjoy the balmy temperatures and a break from the cold weather.
Temperatures hit a high of 69 degrees Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Wednesday could see a high of 71 degrees with a chance of showers, forecasters predict.
