Woman Robbed While Walking Home

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fairfax County police department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

A woman was robbed while walking home Wednesday night at Fairhaven Avenue and North Kings Highway, according to Fairfax County police.

The woman reported she was walking home at 10:45 p.m. when a man approached her from behind and then struck her in the face. He then stole her purse and ran from the scene, according to police. The woman did not require medical attention.

In separate and unrelated incidents:

  • An Alexandria man was arrested following a chase stemming from a narcotics violation. According to police, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation at 9:45 p.m. Sunday, May 13. Omar Guillen, 20, ran from the scene. He was later captured and charged with possession of marijuana, driving with a revoked license and eluding police.
  • A burglary was reported at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the 8400 block of Benecia Court. The resident reported someone entered the home through an unlocked door and stole her laptop computer.
  • A 1996 Buick Regal was reported stolen from the 5900 block of Mount Eagle Drive.
