On Saturday, from 10-2, the local charitable organization, Alice's Kids, will be sponsoring a "Summer Book Fair" where we will give away almost 2,000 books to needy children. The event will be held at the Creekside Community Center at the end of Janna Lee Avenue. Children have been invited from Creekside, Audobon Estates, Gum Springs and other areas.
The children will be able to take as many books as they want for summer reading. The books have been donated by members of the Mount Vernon community over the last month.
