Voter Registration Volunteer Training
Sherwood Regional Library, 2501 Sherwood Hall Ln, Alexandria, VA | Get Directions »
FREE
The outreach officer for the Fairfax County Registrar’s office, Karla Mahoney, will train volunteers who want to help register voters in the Library's first floor conference room.
Volunteers will learn how to avoid the many pitfalls that can result in voter registration application forms being rejected and how to answer voter questions about Virginia voting requirements.
Those who complete the training will receive a button designating them as volunteer registrars. The event is sponsored by the Fairfax County Volunteer Registrars, a nonprofit, nonpartisan group that has been registering voters along the Route 1 corridor north of Ft. Belvoir for many years. It is open to the public.
