West Potomac High School Black Student Union

The Black Student Union is a new club at West Potomac High School where the mission is  to increase awareness and appreciation for African American issues, history, and culture among the student body.  On November 9, 2013 students from the club attended The Road to Success Luncheon which is an event that focuses on the college process and scholarships.   Students heard from speakers and had an opportunity to hear from college students via a panel discussion.  This event was sponsored by the Fairfax County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and was open to all students in the DMV.  West Potomac was well represented at this event.
