Fairfax County Animal Shelter to Host Open House

Meet the new director of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter and learn about volunteer opportunities.

The Fairfax County Animal Shelter will host an open house on Dec. 22.

Visitors can meet new director Tawny Hammond, learn about volunteer opportunities at the shelter and tour the newly construction adoption wing.

The event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 22.

The Shelter is located at 4500 West Ox Rd., Fairfax.

Regular adoption hours are Tuesday – Friday, 12 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For more information, contact the shelter at (703) 830-1100 or visit http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/police/animalservices/.
