Get Out: Pranks and Biking with a Ranger

Here are five fun local events going on this weekend

  • WHAT: A presentation of pranks, tricks and stunts to amaze children ages 6 to 12
  • WHEN/WHERE: Friday at 10:30am at  or Saturday at 2:30pm at 
  • HOW MUCH: Free
  • WHAT: Bring a lawn chair and listen to the Salsa music of Pablo Antonio y La Firma.
  • WHEN: Friday, July 29, 7:30pm to 8:30pm
  • WHERE: Grist Mill Park, 4710 Mount Vernon Memorial Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22309
  • HOW MUCH: Free

   

  • WHAT: A festival with live performances, puppet theatre, fine art displays, interactive workshops, poetry readings and art for sale
  • WHEN: Saturday, July 30, 12pm to 4pm
  • WHERE: Jefferson Houston Elementary School, 1501 Cameron St, Alexandria, VA 22314
  • HOW MUCH: Free

 

  • WHAT: An all-day sports extravaganza and BBQ for young adults
  • WHEN: Sunday, July 31, 11am to 8pm
  • WHERE: Burke Lake Park, 7315 Ox Rd, Fairfax Station, VA 22039
  • HOW MUCH: $10 donation suggested for food
