Mount Vernon Perspective: What Do You Think of the 'Buffett Rule'? (Poll)

President Obama recently proposed the 'Buffett Rule' legislation that would raise taxes for millionaires as part of a board proposal with recommendations aimed at reducing the deficit. 

Mount Vernon Patch asked locals: Do you think millionaires should pay a higher tax than the average citizen?   

Safeway employee Dylan Maynard called it a "touchy subject" and replied, "It's always a battle between taxing people who worked hard to make that money or tax them the same rate as everyone else. They make their money like everyone else, but sometimes they don't. They can take it better than everyone else." 

"I think people who are making more money need to pay a higher tax," said Dee Kramer. "We need to fix our deficit and if they need to pay higher taxes to do so, so be it."
