The Mount Vernon Council of Citizens' Associations (MVCCA) hosted its annual gala at the Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton Saturday night.

The following community members were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the Mount Vernon Magisterial District: 

Student of the Year: Christalyn Solomon
