Wedding Veils, Corsets and Costumes All Part of Virginia's Tax-Free Holiday

Virginia offers a lot more tax-free than just school supplies during the school supply and clothing tax-free holiday - like diapers and wedding apparel.

Think beyond pencils and protractors during Virginia’s school supplies and clothing tax-free holiday.

Wedding apparel, lingerie, corsets and costumes are just some of the items tax-free through Aug. 4 in the commonwealth.

But brides take note – all clothing items must each be $100 or less, but the tax-free holiday does include veils (sold not rented).

Sports and recreational equipment is not included in the list of tax-free acceptable items but gym suits and uniforms are on the list.

You can also stock up on aprons, bathing suits, suspenders, rubber pants, clerical vestments and diapers tax-free from Aug. 2 through Aug. 4.
