Construction is continuing on the new Springfield Town Center – and dozens of new tenants have signed up for leases.
The new website at springfieldtowncenter.com notes more than 150 stores and retail outlets are expected in the mall when it opens in October. A video preview is available here from Vornado Realty Trust, the developer.
Newer tenants on the list of more than 65 now include New York & Co., Torrid, Rack Room Shoes, Pier1, and several food outlets including Pholicious, Kelly’s Cajun Grill and American mall staple Auntie Anne’s pretzels, according to Washington Business Journal.
When completed, the town center will include 700,000 square feet of retail, restaurants, a food court, movie theater and more. In the coming years, the town center area could see a new hotel, residences, office space, green space and more.
Macy’s, Target and JCPenney have remained open during the construction of the new Springfield Town Center.
