Pier 1 Imports Now Open at Mount Vernon Plaza

The new Pier 1 Imports opened Monday at Mount Vernon Plaza. The store is located at 7684 Richmond Highway. According to a Monday news release, the store will offer the first 200 customers each day through Aug. 11 a free giveaway bag.

“We are pleased to bring this new Pier 1 Imports to Alexandria and hope that our new location will inspire customers to discover the eclectic and fun merchandise that is unique to Pier 1 Imports,” said Alex W. Smith, president and CEO of Pier 1 Imports.

The new Alexandria Pier 1 Imports is the 34th location in Virginia and will include the store's new concept which was revealed in 2011.  The new space is about  7,967 square feet. According to the news release, the Alexandria location will employ 12 to 15 associates throughout the year.
