SFDC Relocates Office to Groveton

The Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation is "excited" to be in the Groveton neighborhood.

The Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation (SFDC) has relocated its offices from Mount Vernon to Groveton.

SFDC was formerly located in the IMP building in Mount Vernon. Its new offices are located in the former Metrocall Building across from Beacon Center in Groveton. Its new offices will be located at the highest point in Fairfax County.

SFDC’s relocation will place the organization in a central location on the Route 1 corridor.

“We wanted to be in a more central location along the corridor and in a space that better meets our needs,” Versel told Patch. “Our old space was at the far southern end of the corridor and thus inconvenient for people coming from points north — we’ll now be more towards the middle of the corridor and closer to Huntington Metro and the Beltway as well.  Also, the old space had no windows and a long, narrow conference room that couldn’t fit enough people in it for the meetings we hold.  Our new space has better work areas and a better conference space."
