SFDC to Host Free Tour of New Apartments

The bus tour will visit the Beacon of Groveton, the Courts at Huntington Station, and 800 Carlyle.

Residents will have the opportunity to tour three new apartment developments in September during a bus tour led by the Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation (SFDC).

The bus tour will showcase three new apartment developments that have opened in the area during the last three years, according to an SFDC press release. The tour will begin at the new on Richmond Highway. The tour will also visit the Courts at Huntington Station and 800 Carlyle apartment buildings.

SFDC Executive Director David Versel says the tour will show residents these new developments and during the tour, they will discuss why people are moving in to them.

"Really, it’s showing people in the area what these apartment developments are all about," Versel said. "These apartments have phenomenal amenities. The Beacon at Groveton has the sort of amenities you would see in Clarendon or Dupont Circle but not in this part of Fairfax County before."

The event is free and open to the public, and lunch will be provided. The bus tour will take place on Sept. 22 from noon to 4 p.m. Space is limited. To make a reservation, email David Ben by Sept. 14.

Correction: A previous version of the story had the incorrect date of the bus tour. The tour will be held on Sept. 22, not Sept. 29. We regret the error.
