Through a diagnostic evaluation, the student's area of weakness is identified and an individualized instructional learning plan is developed. Students will receive tutoring in Reading and/or Mathematics. All books, materials and lesson plans will be provided. Tutors continually assess, monitor and record student progress. Requirements: BCI Background check and fingerprinting required (requirement waived for current Alexandria or Fairfax school district employees). Must have 60 college credits and meet No Child Left Behind Federal and State Requirements. Preference given to certified teachers and those with VE/ ESE/ESOL certifications. Must have access to a computer with working e-mail address. Reliable transportation also required.
