1. A new botanically-themed exhibition runs now through September 30 at the River Farm. The free show features paintings by Juleen Stacy and photography by three artists.
2. The monthly  is tomorrow at 1pm at the Hollin Hall Senior Center. Christine Rose will give a presentation entitled “Leaping to Erroneous Conclusions.”
3. Regal Kingstowne Stadium 16 is offering $1 movies at 10am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until August 24. The choices for this week are Marmaduke and Yogi Bear.
4. Today in 1968, Intel Corporation was founded as Integrated Electronics Corporation.
5. 'World Cup final' has been a popular search term according to Google Trends because Japan beat the USA to win the Women's World Cup title yesterday in Germany.
