5 Things to Know Today in Mount Vernon

Here are five things to keep in mind today.

• If you order from the Mount Vernon  or the Fort Hunt  from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. today and fill out a very simple Pizza Purchase form, 20% of the purchase price will go to the MVHS Boys Soccer team.
• The Woodley Hills Elementary School PTA raffle ends on Tuesday, May 31. Tickets are $2 and can be purchased through students or at the school's front office.
• Auditions for Washington Metropolitan Youth Orchestra and Concert Orchestra will be held May 28-31. See http://www.wmpamusic.org for details.
• Many sales start today, like the  50% off Memorial Day Sale.
• Today is National Paper Airplane Day, which is best celebrated by paper airplane flying contests.
