Friends of Dyke Marsh Meets Tonight

Here are five things to know today in Mount Vernon.

  1. The  is still being held every Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the parking lot of Sherwood Regional Library.
  2. There will be a meeting tonight at 7 p.m. to discuss how to prevent future flooding damage in the Huntington neighborhood.
  3. The Friends of Dyke Marsh meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. will feature a presentation on the importance of bees.
  4. Mount Vernon High School will hold Military Appreciation Night during its varsity football game against Centreville High School this Friday.
  5. Today would have been singer Amy Winehouse's 28th birthday.
