The Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens is the ultimate destination for tourists and history aficionados. The Estate has a ton of great programs on deck for spring 2011. A Civil War Walking Tour begins on April 2, and the upper garden will reopen in late April. Be sure to check out the Mount Vernon Inn restaurant for a slice of apple pie.
