This event sells out quickly, but tickets are still available in limited quantities for Historic Mount Vernon’s wine festival and sunset tour on Sunday.
Guests can bring blankets and relax on the lawn overlooking the Potomac while enjoying wines from 16 Virginia wineries. Historic interpreters will conduct tours of the mansion throughout the evening. The tours include an exclusive look at the brick vaults where George Washington stored wine.
Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased via Mount Vernon’s website. The event will be held rain or shine. All sales are final. Guests must show ID to be served wine, and designated drivers will receive soft drinks.
Fruit and cheese boxes are available for $26, and hot and cold food will be served on site. Outside food and beverages are not allowed.
