Library Construction Update: Washington Gas to Perform Work on Route 235
This work is part of the construction of the National Library for the Study of George Washington.
Beginning on Wednesday, Washington Gas will begin work along the side of northbound Route 235 (Mount Vernon Memorial Highway) as part of the construction of the .
Their work will be approximately two inches off of the roadway in the utility right-of-way and will run from the entrance to the Wessynton community to the library entrance gate.
Traffic will need to be directed around the work zone through the use of flagmen, cones and barriers. The work will be performed from approximately 9:30 a.m. through 3 p.m. on weekdays, and will take approximately two weeks. Utility service will not be affected by this project.
