National Hispanic Heritage Month Starts Today
Here are five things to know today in Mount Vernon.
- The Eagle Scouts will be holding a Bikes for the World Collection Project on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the parking lot of St. Aidan's Episcopal Church.
- Registration is still open for Stories by Gary Lloyd on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sherwood Regional Library.
- The Hollin Hall Senior Center is holding a "Fall Prevention Seminar" on Thursday, September 22. The seminar is free, but registration is recommended.
- Mount Vernon At Home and Meals on Wheels are looking for volunteers to help older adults living independently.
- Today is the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage Month.
