Outer Loop Lane Closures This Weekend

Two right lanes of the Outer Loop will close from Friday night to Sunday mid-day.

Weather permitting, the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project will conduct work on the Outer Loop this weekend. Variable message signs will be posted to alert drivers and provide detour information when necessary. This work will have major impacts on Beltway and local traffic, and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid delays. The scheduled work is as follows.

Friday, Oct. 28 from 11 p.m. to mid-day Sunday, Oct. 30:

The two right lanes of the Capital Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will close at 11 p.m. Friday just before the Eisenhower Avenue Connector to just before Telegraph Road to set an overhead foundation, leaving one lane open in this corridor. The middle lane will reopen at 6 a.m. Saturday, allowing two travel lanes during daytime hours, but will close again at 11 p.m. Saturday. All lanes will re-open mid-day Sunday.
