The road is scheduled to open later this year.
Construction on Mulligan Road in Mount Vernon is progressing on schedule.
The four-lane connector road will run from the intersection of Richmond Highway and Mount Vernon Memorial Highway and Telegraph Road. The road is scheduled to be completed in late 2013, after experiencing construction delays due to a setback in November 2011.
According to the Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation, grading on the segment between Pole Road and Telegraph Road is complete and curbing and paving is under way.
