Good Shepherd Housing and Family Services hosted its annual volunteer and board appreciation night at the Hilltop Golf Club Tuesday. 

The same day, the organization was notified that it was named one of three finalists for the Center of Nonprofit Advancement's board leadership award.

"We're excited about the progress we've made," said Cheryl Ellsworth, board president.
