The Winter That Wasn't: Spring-like Temperatures on Thursday

Thursday's temperatures could hit 70 degrees.

Temperatures on Thursday are forecast to reach the upper 60s with some areas possibly hitting 70 degrees, according to the Capital Weather Gang. Partly sunny skies and breezy conditions are in Thursday's forecast, the Gang reports.

The record high temperature recorded at Dulles on February 22 is 73 degrees in 1985.

Friday’s forecast will get a warm start to the day with temperatures in the 60s, but a “midday cold front associated with rain and clouds initiates cooling,” bringing temperatures down to the 50s, according to the Capital Weather Gang.

Friday night and Saturday morning could see a slight chance of flurries, with temperatures hovering in the 40s. The D.C. metro area has only seen 2 inches of snow to date.
