It's Friday night, you're finally home from work, and you're looking for something fun to do this weekend. Look no further - Mount Vernon Patch has compiled a guide to this weekend's fun, family-friendly activities:

Friday, October 22

Head over to Mt. Vernon High School tonight at 7:30 and watch the Majors take on the Falls Church Jaguars. It's Capital One Bank Game Night, so admission is free and you can take part in a pre-game tailgate party. Be sure to stick around for the halftime Wounded Warriors Celebration held by Fort Belvoir.

Saturday, October 23

Walk to Fight Breast Cancer: Sponsored by INOVA Foundation's Office on Women, this walk will help raise funds for breast cancer awareness.  The walk will began at the AMC Theater parking lot at 8:30 a.m.

Be sure to visit the Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens for the Fall Harvest Family Days event! The event will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and will include fall-themed activities and historical demonstrations for the family to enjoy. 

Looking for some new treasures? Check out the Mom's Group Rummage Sale at Good Shepherd Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The Washington Farm United Methodist Church is holding its Children's All Saints Party and Family Event from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The event will celebrate All Saint's Day with games and fun fall activities like pumpkin carving. 

Want to learn how to polka? The Knights of Columbus will be holding its Polish Polka Party from 6:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Enjoy traditional Polish dishes and polka music from Tommy Thomas. Proceeds will benefit the Knights of Columbus. 

Sunday, October 24

Good Shepherd Catholic Church will be holding its Disabilities Awareness Mass and Reception at 9:30 a.m. They are also holding a flu shot clinic at 9:30 a.m. for those of you who need to get a flu shot!
