If you love horses and Woodlawn Stables, then you may want to mark April 26 on your calendar. That's the date for Pony Up! a fundraiser to help care for the senior and retired horses at the stables in Mount Vernon.
Here's the scoop:
Pending road construction in and around the stables has had an "unfortunate effect" on business at the stables, and now Woodlawn needs help caring for the senior and retired horses before they find a new property. Money raised at the fundraiser will go for food, medicine and services.
The fundraiser is set for Saturday, April 26 from 7 to 11 p.m. at Rhodeside Grill in Arlington, 1836 Wilson Blvd. A $70 ticket will get you food, drinks, music and a chance at raffle prizes. Get your tickets here.
