Need a break through for your business ?

Now Launched: a Small Business Roundtable known as the "Breakthrough Project" enabling business owners to collaborate and examine resources available through open source research efforts.

I have been running my business for several years now. It is a great experience that can be a combination of a roller coaster ride and boat ride. One week you are feeling the ups and downs of the business chaos that can ensue while the following week, you can feel the calm, serene sound of water lapping against your boat (I don't own a boat...BUT, I can imagine that sound). In the midst of all this, it is easy for your business to get stuck. It can either be going through unanticipated growing pains which can be scary. OR...it can be languishing. Either way, the last thing you want to be is isolated. I certainly have felt that way at times.

I recently made a connection with a research group which has developed an open source project known as the Breakthrough Project. This project is connected to the Small Business Development Center of the SBA. It’s goal is to provide tools and resources to businesses who are facing challenges in different aspects of business growth, management, and productivity. As a business owner, I have learned that you must always be in “growth & learning” mindset.

Knowing how important it is for small business owners to be able to collaborate in a friendly, non-threatening environment, this Project has launched 'Breakthrough Book Clubs' around the country. My firm is sponsoring one of those clubs as a business roundtable. It will meet monthly and will offer an informal environment by which business owners can meet and discuss what they are facing and how they might breakthrough to the next level of growth and opportunities. You can click here to obtain details about the next session for this club. For more information about the Breakthrough Project and for a free copy of the open source book, click here
