Alexandria Man Missing Since Wednesday

Police are looking for a 64-year-old man who was last seen Wednesday afternoon.

The Virginia State Police has issued a “Senior Alert” for a Fairfax County resident, according to a news release from the Mount Vernon Police District. Mohammad Sharif Yazdani was last seen by relatives at his residence in the 3800 block of Havenwood Place around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Yazdani — a 64-year-old, white male — may appear to be confused and disoriented and speaks limited English. He often walks in the Alexandria area on Richmond Highway.

Yazdani is 5 feet 6 inches, about 160 pounds with brown to gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and blue Croc-style shoes.
