Police: Alexandria Man Damages Police Cruiser, Assaults Officer During Arrest
Umaru Bah was arrested.
A 31-year-old man is accused of being drunk in public, assaulting a police officer, and damaging a police cruiser, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Authorities were called at 5:25 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Lockheed Boulevard and Fordson Road in the Hybla Valley area after someone called in to report a person who was drunk in public.
An officer arrived and arrested Umaru Bah, of Alexandria. Police said that during the arrest, Bah assaulted the officer and damaged the inside of the police cruiser.
