Police Blotter: February 4, 2011

Incidents reported to the Mount Vernon district substation of the Fairfax County Police Department.

Last week, Fairfax County police officers from the Mount Vernon district substation responded to 18 reported incidents in our community. This week, there were two reported burglaries in our area and six reported noise violations.  

Here's the detailed timeline of last week's police activity. Keep in mind that these are reported incidents. A crime did not necessarily occur:

  • January 27: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported noise violation in the 8400 block of Huerta Court. (4:43 a.m.)
  • January 27: Mount Vernon police responded to a report of vehicle tampering in the 3900 block of Sonora Place. (10:22 a.m.)
  • January 27: Mount Vernon police responded to a report of vehicle tampering in the 3800 block of Mariposa Place. (4:01 p.m.)
  • January 27: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported noise violation in the 8600 block of Shadwell Drive. (10:54 p.m.)
  • January 28: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported robbery in the intersection of Graves St. and Richmond Highway. (3:34 a.m.)
  • January 28: Mount Vernon police responded to a report of vehicle tampering in the 4000 block of Main Street. (4:58 a.m.)
  • January 28: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported larceny in the 4200 block of Buckman Road. (7:38 a.m.)
  • January 28: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported noise violation in the 5300 block of Tessie Terrace. (8:24 p.m.)
  • January 29: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported noise violation in the 8400 block of Sky View Drive. (8:39 p.m.)
  • January 29: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported noise violation in the 8400 block of Richmond Highway. (11:13 p.m.)
  • January 30: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported noise violation in the 8400 block of Frye Road. (12:25 a.m.)
  • January 30: Mount Vernon police responded to a report of peeping in the 4300 block of Pembrook Village Drive. (2:29 p.m.)
  • January 31: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported assault in the 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue. (12:36 a.m.)
  • January 31: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported drug offense in the 8400 block of Frye Road. (12:56 a.m.)
  • January 31: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported burglary in the 8200 block of Martha Street. (5:41 a.m.)
  • January 31: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported larceny in the 4100 block of Melon Street. (12:04 p.m.)
  • January 31: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported burglary in the 8600 block of Village Square Drive. (9:08 p.m.)
  • February 1: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported larceny in the 7500 block of Republic Court. (3:51 p.m.)
