Police Blotter: March 11, 2011

Incidents reported to the Mount Vernon district substation of the Fairfax County Police Department.

Last week, Fairfax County police officers from the Mount Vernon district substation responded to 16 reported incidents in our community. This week, there were three reported assaults in our area and eight reported noise violations, which are not listed.   

Here's the detailed timeline of last week's police activity. Keep in mind that these are reported incidents. A crime did not necessarily occur:

  • March 3: Mount Vernon police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 8600 block of Richmond Highway. (4:05 p.m.)
  • March 4: Mount Vernon police responded to a report of destruction at the intersection of Mount Vernon Highway and Old Mount Vernon Road. (1:04 p.m.)
  • March 4: Mount Vernon police responded to a report of vehicle tampering in the 8100 block of Richmond Highway. (3:24 p.m.)
  • March 5: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported assault in the 8400 block of Richmond Highway. (1:45 a.m.)
  • March 6: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported drug offense in the 8600 block of Beekman Place. (1:22 a.m.)
  • March 6: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported assault in the 8400 block of Madge Lane. (1:06 a.m.)
  • March 7: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported assault in the 8500 block of Richmond Highway. (1:09 a.m.)
  • March 8: Mount Vernon police responded to a report of destruction in the 4500 block of Colony Court. (10:09 a.m.)
