Police Blotter: May 17, 2011

Incidents reported to the Mount Vernon district substation of the Fairfax County Police Department.

Each week, the Fairfax County Police Department releases an update with incidents that have occurred across the county. The following incidents occurred last week in the Mount Vernon Police District:

Major incidents

A 32-year-old man was stabbed in the 3400 block of Buckman Road around 7:20 p.m. on Friday, May 6. The suspect fled the scene; he was described as black, between 20 and 25 years old, about 160 pounds with long, braided hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt with white writing and black pants. The victim was taken to the hospital with non life- threatening injuries.

Larcenies

Money was reported stolen from a residence in the 4200 block of Buckman Road.

Two bicycles were reported stolen from a residence in the 8300 block of Hunter Murphy Circle.

License plates were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 8100 block of Richmond Highway.Β 

Vehicle Thefts

No vehicle thefts were reported in our area this week.Β
