Police Charge 3 with DWI on Fourth of July in Mount Vernon Police District

Five drivers were issued summons.

Fairfax County Police patrolled the Mount Vernon Police District on Friday on the lookout for drunk drivers. In all police charged three drivers with DUI. Five summonses were issued.

County police also set up sobriety checkpoints from time to time. The most recent was set up on Saturday, June 20.

The checkpoint was held at Richmond Highway and Dawn Drive. Seven-hundred-eleven vehicles passed through. Three drivers were charged with DWI. Six summonses were issued and two criminal arrests were made.
