Police Charge Mount Vernon-Area Brothers with Sex Abuse of Child

Abuse reportedly took place between 2007-2010 in Woodbridge; brothers arrested at current home in 8400 block of Richmond Highway in Mount Vernon area.

Two Mount Vernon-area brothers have been charged with sex abuse of a child, according to Prince William County Police.

Last week, detectives from the Prince William County Police Special Victim’s Unit began an investigation into a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred between 2007 and 2010 at a residence located in the 14600 block of Endlsey Turn in Woodbridge (22193). 

The investigation revealed that the female victim, who was between 7 and 12 years old at the time, was sexually assaulted on more than one occasion by both accused individuals listed below.

The men are known to the victim and were living with the victim at the time of the incidents. 

Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants against both men who were located and arrested Tuesday without incident at their residence in Fairfax County by the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force.

Jose Delman Rivera, 35, of the 8400 block of Richmond Highway, was arrested Tuesday and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery.

Jose Rolando Rivera Mendoza, 22, of the 8400 block of Richmond Highway was also arrested Tuesday and charged with rape.

Both are being held without bond, according to police.
