Update: 'Beacon Hill Bandit' Believed to Have Struck TD Bank for Fifth Time

According to the FBI's Washington Field Office, the suspect in the TD Bank robbery Monday morning is believed to be the "Beacon Hill Bandit" who is suspected of robbing the bank four times between March 2010 and July 2013.

The subject verbally demanded money and provided a bag for the teller during each incident. On three occasions, the suspect implied that he had a weapon.

Fairfax County police are currently investigating yet another robbery at TD Bank located at 6615 Richmond Hwy, according to a recent news release.

Around 11 a.m. Monday, a man entered the bank and demanded money. The bank teller complied and the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled. There were no injuries reported, the release stated.

The suspect was described as a black male about 6 feet tall. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a yellow work vest, yellow pants and blue and gray ball cap. The suspect may have been driving a white, four-door vehicle, possibly a Hyundai.

The bank has been robbed five times now since March 2010. FBI recently got involved in the series of robberies at the bank across from Beacon Hill Shopping Center. The suspect is being called the"Beacon Hill Bandit."

PFC Bud Walker told Patch Monday afternoon that it is too soon to tell if the recent incident is related to the past four robberies. At this time, FBI is not included in the investigation of Monday's robbery.
